Stephen Fandrich
Stephen Fandrich began learning piano at age thirteen by rote from his father
Darrell Fandrich, a gifted pianist and renowned piano technician. He graduated in the year 2000
from Cornish College of the Arts with a degree in music composition under Jarrad Powell.
Quietly, word of this interpreter, improviser and composer
at the piano has spread throughout the Northwest in classical, jazz and improvisation
circles though his appearances have been scarce. His is a true talent
at the piano, however; he is better known as an overtone singer
and founder of the Seattle Harmonic Voices. His voice
has brought him all around the Puget sound area and the Northwest, to Alaska, New York,
Hawaii, Canada, Central Java and Bali. Recent projects: touring Washington as a classical pianist performing in a with
classical guitarist Sean Owen. Recently recorded "Ketewang Harmonic" for Gamelan and 4 Overtone Singers with
Gamelan Pacifica.
